Face To Face Training FAQ's

How do I book?
Face to face UK - You can book online via on the training options drop down or on the Training Dates drop down.
Overseas Training - Click on booking on the Training Dates drop down. A minimum deposit of £200 is required per booking..
Online Training - You click on the Training Options drop down and select your course. Then pay securely online.

What should I bring?

You will need to bring the following:
Pen and notebook
Completed workbooks
Water
Lunch
Tracksuit
Trainers
Shorts
Grip products if applicable

What do I need to complete to pass the course?
All workbooks
Verbal test/online test
continuous assessment through out the course
Assessment routine
Moves assessment

What is the prerequisite to each course?
The courses are about learning to become an instructor not to learn how to perform pole moves. You will need a pole to practice the moves.

Beginner:
Open to any level of poler, fitness participant, gymnast, dancer or circus performer. if you have never attended a pole class we advise that you purchase your own pole prior to joining the course. You can then practice the moves in the manual and on the DVD. You are required to have basic warm up, cool down and anatomy and physiology training. If you do not have any we recommend an Exerciser to Music Qualification or our inhouse fitness course. You must complete the workbooks, pass the continuous assessment, pass the routine assent as well as a moves assessment.

Intermediate:
You must have completed the intermediate course before you can take apart in the intermediate course. You can do the beginner and intermediate courses in the same weekend. There does not need to be a time lapses between training dates.

Advanced:
You must have completed both the beginner and intermediate course before you can take apart in the advanced course. You can do all three courses together as long as you are able to complete the moves.. For a list of moves please contact us. There does not need to be a time lapses between training dates.

Vertical Kid's

Is there a payment plan or an instalment plan?
Yes! you can pay by instilments of as little or as much as you like. You may pay via PayPal or by phone. You are required to pay in full before you receive access to online courses. You need to pay in full a minimum of two weeks prior to the start date of a face to face course.

Can I host a training?
Yes you can if you check out our host a pole courses or contact us for a fact sheet on the minimum requirements and the benefits you can receive.

Can I become a training provider or a master trainer?
If you are interested in becoming a master trainer or a training provider you will need to pass the course with a distinction and then shadow a number of courses until KT feels that you have reached a high enough standard to teach the course.

I am pregnant can I take part?
No sorry. the course is very demanding and you are in a learning environment so may be taught things you have never done before. This is not suitable for a pregnant woman.

Can I cancel a course, move dates or transfer my course?
Once the manual have been sent the course is not refundable or transferable. It will only be refunded if the course is cancelled. Course dates maybe moved if the course has not met the minimum requirements with no refunds, Vertical Dance will give alternative dates for you to choose from.

Who can take part?
Anyone with a pole and a computer.

How do I book?
Use the buy now button on the online training page. Select which type of training you wish to have and pay securely online.

What is the prerequisite to each course?
The courses are about learning to become an instructor not to learn how to perform pole moves. You will need a pole to practice. The beauty of the online course is that you can work at your own

Is there a payment plan or an instalment plan?
You you can pay as little or as much as you like when you like (you have one year to complete payment). Please click on the shop and scold down.

Can I cancel a course, move dates or transfer my course?
The online training can not be refunded once the passwords have been sent. You have one year to complete the course unless you become pregnant, in which case you are required to contact us for an extension.

I have paid for my online training but I have not receive my password.
If you have paid for just the beginners course you will automatically receive a password. If you do not please check your spam. If you have paid for a group of courses you require manual activation. This may take up to 24h.

Classes and Workshops

Who are classes for?
We have different levels in both the classes and our workshops. Classes are 7.15pm Tuesdays for beginner/intermediate and 8.15pm for intermediate/advanced. KT can teach workshops in beginner through to advance.

Do I need experience?
No you do not. A good level of fitness is always helpful but not essential. You do need experience if you wish to join the intermediate or advance classes or workshops.

Where are the classes?
Mayhem Theatre Arts School, Brewery Road, Hoddesdon, Herts.

What should I wear?
Make sure you are comfortable. We recommend that you come in leggins of tracksuit to start with until you build up strength and confidence. A Vest top or T-shirt and trainers.

What should I bring?
Water
Workout clothing
No creams and lotions on the body

How long is the class?
Classes and 1 hour
Workshops are 1.5 hours

What do we do in the class?

We warm up, learn moves and tricks which we combine in to a routine. After we strengthen the body and stretch it.

Is the class dangerous?
The class is acrobatic in nature and if not taught properly it can be dangerous. Both feet leave the floor and you are lifting your body weight to there is an element of danger. However you are taught slowly to build strength, flexibility and confidence so you are better able to control your movement. We have mats and teach spotting techniques.

Can I cancel a class, move dates or transfer my class?
Our classes are all drop in.

If you wish to book a course you can do so on line via the booking page.
If you wish to book a workshop please e-mail us for available date. the same goes if you wish to host a training.

All our methods of payment are completely safe. this is why we have chosen them

How long does it take to dispatch my item?
Online courses are instant as its all on line. if you have selected one of our packages it may take a little longer as we have to activate you manual.
If its course material for a face to face course this is sent 6 weeks prior to the course starting.
If its a DVD we take one working day to dispatch

How long is the delivery time?

How is my item sent?
By royal mail. If you wish to have a tracked and signed for postage please contact us. we get proof of postage.

Can I change my delivery address?
Unfortunately not due to PayPal not covering us if the item was not to arrive.

Can I return my item?
If your DVD is unopened and unused yes. You can not return courses once work or passwords have been issued.
